Purpose
This position deals with Inventory Management needs of all departments of KE. Plans, organizes, monitors the activities related Inventory Management Warehouses covering the segments of inventory management, disposal, receiving, distribution and maintenance sections; Play role development of Inventory Management policies in reference to KE’s policies; Coordinates with Stakeholder Departments to provide optimum support and resources for consistent improvements through various initiatives ; Evaluates staff performance and identify the areas where the staff needs to improve; These responsibilities are carried WITH the objective to maintain optimum stock levels in the organization at key warehouse locations along with assuring quality as per KE’s policies WITHIN the limits of departmental objectives and SOPs, organizational policies and SOPs, regulations, values, policies and direct guidelines from the supervisor.
Education (Mandatory)
Minimum bachelor degree in Engineering (Electrical/ Mechanical/Industrial)
Years of Experience
At least 05years of relevant experience.
Functional Competencies
Area of Responsibilities
1 Management of Store operational activities of different IM locations
- Developing plans to monitor storage utilization levels
- To ensure that all operational activities of IM stores (assigned) are run in accordance with SOPs.
- Executing regular visits to these locations to monitor the store performance physically.
- Ensure proper stacking, handling & storage of material by regular guidance to location incharge and operation workforce.
- Monitoring the real-time material postings in SAP with the help of SAP reports.
- Ensuring the Physical inventory exercise to monitor store accuracy level. Performing on spot inventory exercise to check the count accuracy.
- Ensuring the HSEQ guidelines and procedures to be implemented at stores.
2 Stocks and material distribution among IM location
- Regular review of stocks of fast moving critical items utilizing various SAP stock reports to analyses the overall stock positions.
- Co-ordinating with Planning department for critical material availabilities, consumption and arrival pattern for upcoming material deliveries to pro-actively managed the space and unloading operations.
- Co-ordination with internal replenishment department for logistics arrangements.
- Internal co-ordination with Q&A department for GRN, under warranty and rejected material resolutions.
3 People Management
- Store locations supervisor and work force management for running smooth store operations.
- Co-ordinating with location incharges for availability of workforce at different store location.
- Team building and target assignments. Monitoring the performances and taking regular feedbacks from location incharges.
- Co-ordinating with HR for filling the workforce gaps.
- Planning and budgeting the workforce requirements considering the store operations.
- Performance review of sub-ordinates.
- Training and development of sub-ordinates.
4 Store facility management
- Managing warehouse facilities, reviewing operational quality and efficiency of warehouse storage and layout plans
- Ensure the store facilities maintenance and upkeeping by regular visits.
- Highlighting the fall backs and initiating the required actions to maintain store facilities at optimum level to location incharges.
- Initiating requests concerning the maintenance of stores with admin and other related departments.
- Initiation the in-house projects to upgrade with facility by utilizing in house resources and scrap materials.
- Co-ordinating and updating the progress for civil project at different IM locations.
- Budgetting the requirements of IM locations for facility management perspective.

5 Controlling/ Reporting & Process Improvement
- Analytical and logical, he/she is required to explore solutions and analyze the feasibility.
- Analysing the SAP/ IT process for possible updates and enhancements. Highlighting the possible automation, MIS reporting and SAP procedural amendments to enhance the efficiency of store operations.
- Co-ordination with IT department for project initiation, communicating the requirement and execute the project walk through discussion/ clarification until the completion of project.
- Executing the UATs and initial trainings.
- Analyze the data patterns and decide future actions for the improvement in operations.
- Reviewing the changes in SOP and proposing the change in IM-Manual.
- Preparing the new SOPs as per process amendments.
