Purpose

The Officer HSE will assist Management in implementing safe systems of work in compliance with Safety Rules, National Laws, and industry best practices. The role carries specific responsibility for supporting the administration of the Safety Management System, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a strong safety culture across the Transmission function.

Education (Mandatory)

 Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Industrial and Manufacturing

Trainings & Certifications (Mandatory)

  • IOSH/NEBOSH

Years of Experience

Minimum 3 years of work experience in HSE

Area of Responsibilities

  • Safety Management System Support

    • Assist in the administration and implementation of Safety Management Systems.

    • Provide necessary administrative support to the Safety Department to ensure smooth execution of routine activities.

  • Audit & Compliance

    • Maintain effective follow-up with OHSAS 18001:2007 and EMS ISO 14001:2004 audits to ensure adherence to audit processes.

    • Implement rules and procedures of EPA and other environmental monitoring/governing agencies.

  • Reporting & Risk Control

    • Arrange issuance of safety statistical reports and graphs within agreed timelines.

    • Suggest and implement measures for risk control and management.

    • Address environment-related issues, including effluents and emissions, with proper risk assessment.

  • Safety Culture & Training

    • Encourage and promote safe work practices and culture across premises.

    • Ensure 100% compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) for Transmission employees, visitors, and contractors.

    • Prepare and guide staff to respond effectively to accidents and disasters.

  • Operational Support

    • Plan, organize, supervise, control, and coordinate activities of the HSEQ section of Transmission.

    • Support Power Station operations in compliance with Pakistan’s environmental, health, and safety regulations.

    • Collaborate with site functions to achieve operational safety standards.

  • Fire & Emergency Preparedness

    • Be well conversant with firefighting systems, equipment, and their applications.

    • Lead initiatives to strengthen emergency preparedness and response mechanisms.

  • Other Duties

    • Carry out all tasks assigned by the Manager HSEQ
