Purpose
The Manager Planning (LL& Industrial) is responsible for assisting, drafting, and executing the asset planning framework for Low Loss, and Industrial Feeders’. The role governs the implementation of asset management systems, ensures compliance with international standards, and supports the development and benchmarking of procedures and policies related to switchgear/transformer assets.
This position contributes to ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and performance of assets through strategic planning and audit facilitation. The Manager collaborates cross-functionally to ensure alignment of asset plans with organizational objectives, financial goals, and HSEQD requirements, fostering a culture of improvement and quality management across all planning and execution activities.
Education (Mandatory)
Bachelor’s/master’s degree in electrical engineering
Years of Experience
5+ years in power distribution, with expertise in MV switchgear or distribution transformer maintenance/refurbishment
Functional Competencies
Area of Responsibilities
1 Asset Planning & Program Management
- Convert asset management strategies into executable maintenance, inspection, and renewal plans
- Coordinate scheduling and resource planning to ensure operational readiness and plan adherence across LL and IND regions.
- Track progress of switchgear/asset programs and report variances to the Lead to ensure strategic targets are met.
2 Compliance Execution & Standards Adherence
- Implement approved asset management policies, standards, and maintenance guidelines.
- Ensure all planning and reporting activities adhere to technical compliance, regulatory mandates, and audit requirements
- Support the preparation of regulatory submissions and technical documentation to ensure organizational transparency.
3 Asset Risk Tracking & Performance Monitoring
- Maintain asset risk registers and performance dashboards to track transformer reliability and planning outcomes.
- Analyze performance trends (e.g., SF6 levels or contact wear) and recommend localized interventions to address recurring or high-risk transformer issues
- Support KPI tracking and evaluation for asset reliability and maintenance efficiency.
4 Data Governance & System Utilization
- Ensure effective use of SAP PM and GIS tools for accurate switchgear information and work order management.
- Validate asset condition and performance information to ensure high data integrity and planning accuracy.
5 Planning Analysis & Resource Control
- Conduct resource utilization and workload analysis to optimize planning efficiency.
- Identify planning gaps, delays, or bottlenecks in switchgear maintenance and recommend corrective measures to the lead.
6 Stakeholder Coordination & Team Support
- Collaborate with field maintenance and operations teams to align daily execution with approved strategic plans.
- Train junior planners on switchgear planning tools, technical reporting practices, and data standards .
- Facilitate feedback loops between field teams and planning functions to drive continuous improvement in switchgear/asset reliability.
