PURPOSE
This position owns the SharePoint Portfolio as technical lead and manages the operations, development, and modernization of SharePoint portals i.e. Vendor Master Portal, Fleet Management and Awaz Portal and holds exceptional significance within organization as these portals are essential for customer digital engagement, business operations and organizational efficiency.
This role focuses on administering SharePoint and Power Platform operations, ensuring system uptime, optimal performance, business continuity, security, and effective patch management. It emphasizes developing solutions by designing and deploying scalable SPFx, Power Apps and Power Automate, applications; creating reusable libraries; implementing CI/CD pipelines; and maintaining quality through ALM and secure coding standards. It manages modernization, oversees migration from on-premises to SharePoint Online, redesigns workflows and applications, integrates Azure and ERP systems, improves information architecture and taxonomy, enforces governance and DLP policies, and adopts new Microsoft technologies to enhance user experience, automation, and digital transformation.
Any lapse would directly hinder collaboration, cause project delays, and adversely affect user experience and ultimately result in inefficiencies, increased costs, weakened business-IT alignment, and potentially compromising K-Electric's operational excellence and digital competitiveness.
This role contributes to company’s organizational efficiency, customer centricity and digital transformation by enabling a modern, secure, scalable SharePoint portal eco system for new business capabilities, aiding market growth and competitiveness.
Education & Relevant Experience:
Bachelor/Master Computer Science/Software Engineering/IT
Total Experience: 8+ years in IT (minimum requirement)
• Development Experience: 6+ years in SharePoint
• Technical Lead: 4+ years – Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint Online
• Operation Experience: 4+ years - SharePoint
Microsoft Certification Development/ SharePoint- At least 1
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. SharePoint Development & Solution Enablement:
Architect and deploy scalable, integrated solutions across the SharePoint portfolio using SPFx, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
Accelerate delivery and ensure consistency by creating and managing shared, reusable code libraries and components across the platform.
Build and enforce CI/CD pipelines, strict ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), and secure coding standards for all custom developments.
Maintain solution and audit compliance by preparing thorough and accurate technical documentation for architecture and code.
Design and implement integration patterns to connect SharePoint and Power Platform solutions with Azure services and core ERP systems.
2. SharePoint Modernization:
Direct the end-to-end migration of legacy content and custom code to SharePoint Online (SPO) using advanced tooling.
Redesign Information Architecture, taxonomy, and site structures to leverage modern features and enhance user experience.
Design and deploy complex Azure and ERP system integration patterns for critical, migrated solutions.
Configure and enforce DLP policies and M365 security best practices across the portfolio.
Strategically evaluate and implement new Microsoft technologies to maximize automation and digital transformation.
3. SharePoint Operations & Administration:
Perform daily monitoring of system activities, resource utilization, and performance metrics to proactively ensure continuous platform uptime and optimal performance.
Execute scheduled patch management, vulnerability scans, and security configuration checks to maintain regulatory compliance and the platform's security posture.
Manage user access, permissions, site collections, and environment lifecycles (Dev/Test/Prod) for all SharePoint and Power Platform applications, including Dataverse.
Regularly perform and validate backup and restore procedures and execute comprehensive disaster recovery (DR) drills to guarantee business service continuity.
Act as the Tier 3 escalation point, diagnosing and resolving complex, production-critical issues related to application failures, integration errors, and system bottlenecks.
4. SharePoint Application Security
Ensure secure coding practices are followed across all development teams, embedding basic security controls into applications.
Collaborate with audit, risk, and compliance teams to provide application-related inputs and ensure findings are addressed promptly.
Assist in monitoring and reporting on vulnerabilities and ensure teams take corrective actions.
5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Coordinate with business units, data scientists, and IT to align data platform initiatives with organizational objectives.
Share project updates and insights with stakeholders to manage expectations effectively.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth execution of analytics use cases.
Support teams in leveraging data assets efficiently while addressing business requirements.
6 People Management:
Talent Leadership: Lead, mentor, and evaluate a high-performing technical team, set clear performance goals, managing talent development, and proactively addressing resource needs.
