Purpose


This position is responsible for planning and execution of  ABC, OMR, MSBB, AMR, HT ABC, SIP feeder laying, NC Underground links & Earthing projects in a given cluster; to ensure all projects are timely completed while meeting all the safety and  quality standards of the company while ensuring the optimum resources utilization; to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for ensuring smooth execution of projects; act as a focal point for all project related activities for a given cluster; WITH the objective to ensure loss reduction, network stability/reliability and sustainable capacity enhancement for reliable and efficient distribution of electrical power WITHIN the limits of internal business policies and SOPs, , safety and quality standards

Area of Responsibilities

Planning of Projects 20%
 Develop a proper execution plan, to monitor the set of sequence of activities, estimation of each activity in relation with the scope of work
 Planning of project staffing, timelines, resource deployment, material management, and timelines of multiple projects/schemes.
 Assign priority on projects to be executed during the month / year as per yearly assigned targets
 Assigning the PQCs as per project requirement and ensuring timely arrangement of required materials
 Coordination with internal stakeholders for timely release of WBS and Budgets of schemes under pipeline.


Project Monitoring, Control & Closing 60%
 Monitoring of projects during execution & analysis of errors wrt desired & actual outcomes.
 Timely initiate corrective actions to control errors
 Ensure closing & finalizing of outcomes of the projects after completion.
 Ensure proper Handing & Taking over of schemes to operations upon successful completion.
 Coordination with CM team to ensure timely arrangement of shutdown
 Coordinating with PM & IBC teams for availability of security & their technical resource
 Coordination with Civic agencies to avoid any hindrances while execution and to get permission for work where required.
 Post execution evaluation of project wrt resources utilization, quality of work and timelines

 Ensure 100% implementation of safety policies & SOPs during course of work
 Provide necessary safety training and guidelines to team in coordination with department’s safety coordinator
 Ensure zero fatality in line with the vision of the company by keeping strict vigilance through AMs/DMs/Site In charges


Quality  5%
 Ensuring passing rate of over 95% of completed schemes by cluster QC Department
 Convince cluster QC team to timely complete inspection of schemes to avoid ageing of uninspected schemes
 Ensure discrepancies highlighted by quality team are timely rectified
 Ensure all quality parameters are followed by the team during execution


People Management 10%
 Provides effective and inspiring leadership to direct reports; Ensures parity among subordinates with regards to learning and growth opportunities
