Purpose


As Specialist Network Access and Operations typical responsibilities include monitoring and upgrading hardware and software of access network related items, collecting data to improve network performance, ensuring that all network and communication systems are secure and solving issues with automated systems. In addition, campus switches and routers management, firewalls management, core switches, BGP/Internet routers, and VPN management. Other responsibilities include leading ITOC operations and day to day operational reporting.

1. Networks Operations Management    
    
Monitoring and leading IT Network Operations, major responsibilities include

    Entire Network Management, KE IT Network comprises of more than 130 unique comms support rooms, 400+ switches and routers, 7 major communication hubs or communication rooms and 2 data centers. 
    Network security Firewall Administration
o    Firewall policy making 
o    In and out Traffic controls 
o    Security patch management 
o    Designing and maintaining the managed firewall infrastructure
o    Providing level 2 support and technical guidance on issues
o    Troubleshooting and resolving core issues of firewalls 
o    Providing training to firewall administrators in team.
    Data Centers Network Management 
o    Data Center switches and routers management 
o    Data center core switches Infrastructural upgrades and security patch management 
o    Troubleshooting and resolving core technical issues 
o    Designing and maintaining the managed switching infrastructure
    Internet Bandwidth controls 
o    Designing and maintaining the Internet Traffic flow controls 
o    QoS provisioning 
o    Managing Public IP Pool
o    Providing training to ITOC and KE Network team on BGP routing issues
    Campus Fiber Management
o    Management of KE Internal campus fiber

    Proxy Server Administration
o    Managing Internet proxy server policy controls implementation and upgrades as per business requirements
o    Level 2 troubleshooting and resolving issues

    MPLS Links Management
o    MPLS links utilization reports analysis and coordination with projects and procurements team for upgrades
o    Troubleshooting and resolving Level 2 issues on data links

2. Leading NWC projects Deployments and Trainings for ITOC Team    
    
Being Network Project Manager leading/directing all activities of NWC projects, including managing personnel, overseeing budgets and schedules, and executing project communication plans.
