PURPOSE
This role manages the Integration & Automation portfolio, overseeing integration development and modernization across the non-SAP landscape while automating key operational processes. It holds critical importance within IT as it enables seamless system interoperability, real-time data exchange, and process automation that drive operational continuity, business agility, and organizational efficiency.
 
This position focuses on architecting, developing, and deploying secure, scalable integrations while leading automation through RPA tools such as Copilot and Automation Anywhere. It also enables seamless data and process flow across applications to minimize manual effort, accelerate transactions, and ensure high availability, compliance, and performance through disciplined API lifecycle management and automation at scale which includes API design and management, middleware and iPaaS integrations , scripting and development, RPA orchestration, cloud and DevOps automation , system architecture and security-by-design, and proactive monitoring and optimization.
 
Any lapse in this role can disrupt integration and automation, leading to data inconsistencies, performance degradation, and compliance risks, ultimately jeopardizing operational continuity and hindering K-Electric’s digital transformation.

This role contributes to organizational efficiency and digital transformation by enabling seamless system integration, reliable automation, and operational agility across the organization and strengthening K-Electric’s competitive edge, accelerating market responsiveness, and driving sustainable business growth in an evolving energy landscape.

 

Education & Relevant Experience:    
Bachelor/Master Computer Science/Software Engineering/IT

Total Experience:
8+ years in IT (minimum requirement)
•    Integration Experience: 6+ years in C#, Web API, SOAP, REST, SAP BTP
•    Automation Experience: 4+ years – Copilot and Automate Anywhere 
•    Integration Security: 2+ years
Certification: Integration and Automation - At least 2 

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

1    Integration Development and Data Flow
-    Design, code, and deploy complex data and process integration flows using middleware and iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) technologies to connect diverse applications seamlessly.
-    Utilize advanced scripting (e.g., Python, Node.js) to perform complex data manipulation, build custom connectors, and extend the functionality of integration and RPA platforms.
-    Conduct frequent performance reviews on existing integrations and APIs, applying advanced caching and tuning techniques to maintain high performance and efficiency.
-    Actively identify and eliminate technical debt within integration code and configurations to ensure long-term stability and maintainability.
-    Focus on developing integrations that minimize manual effort and accelerate business processes through robust, high-performance data flow solutions.

2    Automation, Orchestration, and Co-pilot
-    Manage the design, development, and orchestration of RPA solutions using tools like Automation Anywhere and Copilot, managing the full lifecycle (bots, runners, data) to achieve automation at scale.
-    Utilizes Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices for the automated and consistent provisioning and management of cloud environments and infrastructure supporting the integration ecosystem.
-    Define and configure proactive monitoring and observability strategies for the entire integration ecosystem, including APIs, middleware, and RPA bots, to ensure sustained performance.
-    Use specialized tools to analyze real-time performance metrics, anticipate bottlenecks across the platform, and drive a continuous feedback loop for system and bot optimization.


3    Integration and API Security
-    Design, integration, API security, Controls, Build and manage a disciplined framework for the full API lifecycle, including standardized design (e.g., OpenAPI), effective versioning, and timely retirement.
-    Define and enforce robust security-by-design principles across all APIs and integrations, implementing advanced authentication and authorization protocols (e.g., OAuth 2.0, JWT).
-    Maintain all integration and automation solutions are designed and implemented with respect to strict compliance with relevant security standards and organizational policies.
-    Configure and implement critical API Gateway policies such as throttling, caching, and rate limiting to guarantee the security, maintainability, and optimal performance of all exposed APIs.
-    Documentation of the technical architecture for all integration and automation components, prioritizing solutions that meet strict requirements for scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery in a cloud-native environment.

4    Collaboration & Project Delivery:  
-    Manage the execution and delivery of integration and automation projects, ensuring completion within established timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
-    Monitor adherence to organizational governance, testing protocols, and change management procedures throughout all project phases.
-    Coordinate cross-functional teams to facilitate efficient project operations and resolve issues impacting project delivery.
-    Evaluate project outcomes and implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize future operations and project performance.

5    People Management: 
-    Manage, mentor, and support the Integration & Automation team to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
-    Establish and uphold development standards while encouraging ongoing technical skill-building and innovation within the team.
-    Promote continuous learning opportunities and ensure accountability for team performance and professional growth.
