Job Purpose:
The Manager – BI Analytics is responsible for leading the development, support, and continuous improvement of the organization's business intelligence and reporting landscape using Qlik, SAP SAC, BW, and other modern analytics platforms. The role ensures the development and delivery of accurate, timely, and actionable insights for business decision-makers while overseeing the operational and technical aspects of the platform, managing a team of analysts and developers, and ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational & Technical Leadership:
- Manage and strategize the development, maintenance, and optimization of data models, InfoProviders, and data flows.
- Manage end-to-end BI project delivery, from requirement gathering to post-implementation support, ensuring successful delivery aligned with business needs.
- Ensure data governance, data quality, and security across all analytics platforms.
- Collaborate with business units to develop and deliver dashboards, KPIs, and reports supporting both operational and strategic objectives.
- Integrate the front-end tools like SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), QlikView/Qlik Sense, and Power BI with backend data pipeline.
- Monitor system performance, resolve technical issues, and coordinate with infrastructure and Basis teams for upgrades and patches.
- Manage service level agreements (SLAs), support requests, enhancements, and change requests.
- Lead the design and execution of BI and analytics strategies aligned with enterprise goals, including transformation projects such as S/4HANA migration and data modernization initiatives.
- Act as the primary liaison between IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors for all analytics and reporting-related initiatives.
SAC Development & Advanced Analytics:
- Lead and implement of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) projects within the SAP ecosystem, including the development of CDS Views, BW Queries, and the creation of interactive SAC Stories and Dashboards.
- Using SAC Planning feature, develop financial budgeting and planning models on SAC, including CAPEX and OPEX planning processes.
- Implement process control for enterprise planning by designing Data Actions, Multi Actions, and scripting Extended Stories (Analytic Applications) using JavaScript.
People & Vendor Management:
- Manage and technically enable internal team members, nurturing a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous learning.
- Coordinate with external vendors and managed service providers to ensure timely and efficient project delivery and support.
- Oversee vendor contracts and ensure adherence to service level agreements, with a focus on achieving optimal service and performance.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 6-8 years of experience with at least 4-5 years of experience in BI analytics domain with any known industry leading tools, and at least 2 years of hands-on experience in SAP SAC, QlikView, and Qlik Sense.
- Strong understanding of SAP data sources (ECC, S/4HANA), data extraction (ETL), and reporting architecture.
- Proven experience in managing BI projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of data warehousing best practices, performance optimization, and data modeling.
