Purpose

This position is responsible for protecting grid systems and supervise the entire Sectional activities for smooth business run and to carry out the instruction issued by the DGM/GM (GSP).

Area of Responsibilities

  1. Procurement and Inventory Management.
  2. Execution of Annual Preventive Maintenance       
  3. Replacement of Obsolete & Faulty Protection gadgets under Predictive & Corrective Maintenance.
  4. Fault Analysis & Remedial Action 
  5. Interdepartmental co-ordination for smooth business run   
  6. People Management

  7. Liable for planning and execution of maintenance and up gradation activities of Transmission Network according to system requirements.

  8. Implementation and testing of protection  schemes for  power substation equipment installed on 220kV, 132kV, 66kV & 11 kV transmission network.

  9. Financial Planning and Controlling of Sectional REVEX and CAPEX budget.

  10. Management of all the processes of project & procurement from initiation till closing.

  11. Responsible for inventory management processes of department

  12.  Preparation / review of scope of work for Protection system rehabilitation projects.  

  13. Prequalification of new protection relays as per requirement

  14. Overall monitoring of protection system rehabilitation projects

  15. Provide technical support to DGM as well as field staff in resolution of critical system problems

  16. Provide support to higher management for completion of official tasks

  17. Interdepartmental coordination for smooth execution of official tasks

  18. Arrange PPEs & SPEs for each employee of the Section

  19. Professional mentoring of subordinates and develop a highly safe culture.

  20. Ensure documentation of each and every activity for record as per ISO compliance.

  21. Compliance of KE SOPs, departmental SOPs relating to installation & testing as designed in HSEQ guidelines/directions

Education (Mandatory)

BE (Electrical/Electronics) Qualified

Years of Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience.

Trainings & Certifications (Mandatory)

· Sound knowledge of different Protection Schemes

· Well versed with Protection Relay Settings and Calculations

· Good knowledge of Conventional, GIS and HIS Grid gadgets.

· Practical knowledge of Safety procedures and guidelines.
