Purpose:

  • ·     To implement the chemical activities as defined by SOP and follow the instructions as assigned by keeping view of the K.E policy, safety rules and applicable regulations.
  • ·    To focus and follow the store material management, procurement of items, Lab equipment calibration, corrective maintenance of equipment, preparation to meet audit requirements, develop the work instructions for entire chemical activities, implement the preservation requirements, keep records desired for assessment and as per defined SOP.
  • ·     Supervise the Deputy Assistant Manager, Assistant Manager and other staff   for safe and efficient execution of entire chemical activities

 

Education:

Bachelor/'sMaster's of Chemical Engineering

Area of Responsibilities:

  • To ensure and fulfill chemical dosing requirements as per recommendations and report to line manager in case of deviation of parameter observed.
  • To follow the Standard Operating Procedures related to plant safety, applicable operation, sectional procedure and work instructions
  • Supervise the staff during normal routine and startup activities in order to maintain the desired water chemistry and keep close liaison with the line manager
  • IDMs creation, procurement of Bulk chemicals, Lab equipment and chemicals, material/assets, third party services and follow up of PRs and PO’s
  • Perform audit preparation, preplanning, documents updating, review work instructions, focus on field work and closures of previous findings
  • To update the daily, weekly & monthly reports of water, chemical & lab. analysis assigned by line manager
  • Identify key potential individuals to train and develop them on fast track and provide feedback of staff to line managers.
  • Personal supervision during makeup of resins of WTPs to ensure maximum production from all streams
  • To act for administrative controls of the chemical section ensuring punctuality of workers and staff members
  • Ensure the effectiveness by supervising dissolving and dosing pumps like Ammonia / Hydrazine, Phosphate, Ferric Chloride, Ferrous Sulphates
  • Perform preservation and assist in chemical cleaning as defined in SOP and as instructed
  • Ensure by personal supervision for proper back washing of resins & charging of fresh resin to WTP’s
  • Ensure the implementation of ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and other certification requirements
  • Attend the training sessions, participate in safety compliance, attend safety hours, perform special safety assigned responsibilities if any and perform safety walk as per defined frequency
  • Others job assigned by line manager
