Purpose:
This position is responsible for performing process safety incidents analysis, oversee investigation RCA quality, development of corporate strategies to prevent recurrence and improving behavioral safety across KE
Job Responsibilities:
- Performing process safety incidents analysis, oversee investigation reports / RCA quality, and development of corporate strategies to prevent recurrence
- Benchmarking of asset integrity program with best industrial practices and CCPS Mechanical Integrity guidelines.
- Development and stewardship of Asset Integrity performance indicators across the company
- Analyzing asset failure factors in process safety incidents and providing root causes in all Business unit.
- Development and stewardship of risk-based inspection strategies and methodology for mechanical equipment and infrastructure
- Overseeing behavior-based safety programs across all BUs to enhance workplace safety and foster a culture of proactive safety awareness
- Analyze data and trends of unsafe behaviors at organizational level and devise strategies for improvement through targeted actions
Job Description

- Study root causes and contributing factors of process safety and personal safety incidents and recommend strategies / programs for implementation from Corporate Level and BUs level
- Review incident investigation reports and root cause analysis methodologies for monitoring of report quality and effectiveness (e.g., 5 Whys, Why Tree, etc.)
- Coordinate with departments and review implementation of incident report recommendations
- Perform quality analysis of incident investigation reports of LWI and fatal incidents occurring across KE
- Prepare periodic reports related to incidents and root cause analysis, implementation of recommendations and present to Management
- Analyze incident data and trends to identify patterns and potential areas for improvement
- Ensure that incident investigations carried out by BU are complying with company policies, and steward programs for improvement of investigations quality
- Provide training and guidance to HSE teams and employees on investigation techniques and root cause analysis
- Work with cross-functional teams to address identified issues and integrate findings into overall safety management systems
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented actions and adjust strategies as needed to ensure ongoing improvement in safety performance.

- Analyzing asset failure factors in process safety incidents and providing root causes in all Business unit.
- Development and stewardship of risk-based inspection strategies and methodology for mechanical equipment and infrastructure
- Perform PHA including HAZOP, FMEA, Why-If etc.
- Overseeing behavior-based safety programs across all BUs to enhance workplace safety and foster a culture of proactive safety awareness
- Monitor implementation and quality of behavior-based safety programs across KE directly, and through BU HSEs
- Design and introduce new initiatives / programs tailored to departmental risks and improvement areas
- Conduct focused assessments to identify unsafe behaviors and underlying causes, using data-driven approaches
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on safe work practices and behavior-based safety principles
- Foster a safety-oriented culture by promoting safe behaviors and addressing behavioral risks
- Track and analyze safety performance metrics related to behavior, providing reports and recommendations for improvements
- Ensure that behavior safety programs are being implemented in full compliance of KE procedures
- Design and implement tools for effective tracking of behavior-based safety programs and observations coming through these programs
- Conduct analysis of safe and unsafe acts, and design department specific strategies
- Assist BU HSEs/respective departments in performing analysis of their respective departments, and guide for development of customized strategies/action plan
- Engage with employees to gather feedback, address concerns, and encourage participation in safety programs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of behavior-based safety programs and make data-driven adjustments for ongoing improvement.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering)
Knowledge:
Thorough understanding of HSE Management Systems
Understanding of PSM, Root Cause Analysis and Behavioral Safety
HSE Certifications Preferred (ISO 45001, NEBOSH, ASP, Fire Safety, etc.)
Experience:
Minimum 08 years of experience, minimum 04 years in HSE
