This position leads the Network Management portfolio and serves as the technical authority for managing, securing, and modernizing K-Electric’s enterprise network across core, branch, and access segments. It holds exceptional significance by ensuring secure, reliable connectivity that underpins business systems, applications, and services enabling seamless operations and superior customer service across the organization.
Lead Network Management & Operations manages enterprise network and security operations, ensuring high availability, reliability, and protection across all locations. The role manages LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewalls, and NAC solutions, maintaining compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and security standards. It leads network projects, drives vendor and budget management, and ensures alignment with IT governance and cybersecurity frameworks to sustain a secure and resilient enterprise network.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science / IT
Total Experience: 10+ years in IT (minimum requirement) 
•    Network Management Experience: 7+ years – Core, Distribution, Access, Wifi, LAN/ WAN Operations from Leading OEMs such as CISCO & Huawei
•    Network Security Experience: 5+ years – Fortinet / Palo Alto Firewalls, NAC, IPS/IDS, VPNs and Zero-Trust Implementation
•    Project Delivery & Modernization: 5+ years – End-to-End Network Projects, Upgrades, and Network Modernization.

Network Operations / Security Certifications: At least 2

Knowledge
•    Enterprise Network Architecture & Operations:
Expertise in architecting and operating carrier-class LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and data-center network fabrics, implementing layer-2/3 segmentation, high-availability topologies, and fault-tolerant routing architectures to deliver deterministic performance and resilience across multi-site environments.
•    Network Security & Zero-Trust Governance:
Comprehensive command of next-generation firewalls (NGFW), VPNs, Network Access Control (NAC), IPS/IDS, micro-segmentation, and policy-driven access control, enforcing Zero-Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and SASE models in alignment with ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and CIS benchmarks.
•    Wi-Fi & Wireless LAN Management:
Advanced proficiency in enterprise WLAN design, Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 migration, RF surveying, spectrum analysis, and controller-based orchestration, optimizing coverage, capacity, and client experience through adaptive radio management and interference mitigation.
•    Network Connectivity & Performance Engineering:
Deep technical expertise in dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), MPLS VPNs, QoS models, and traffic engineering, leveraging NPMD, NetFlow, SNMP, and AIOps telemetry for predictive analytics, SLA assurance, and proactive fault remediation.

Areas of Responsibility

Network Operations & Service Excellence
- Sustain Enterprise Network Uptime: Ensure high availability and performance of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data-center connectivity across all KE locations, supporting uninterrupted business and customer operations.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Lead proactive monitoring, capacity analysis, and incident response to consistently meet or exceed defined SLAs, KPIs, and service reliability targets.
- Enhance Network Resilience: Implement redundancy, failover strategies, and optimized routing to ensure business continuity and minimize impact during network degradation or outages.
- Lead Incident & Problem Management: Manage high-severity troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and implementation of permanent corrective/preventive actions to strengthen long-term stability.
- Standardize Network Governance: Enforce configuration standards, version control, access governance, and documentation discipline to maintain secure, predictable, and audit-ready network operations.

Network Security Modernization & Cloud Security Adoption
- Protect Enterprise Connectivity: Govern firewalls, NAC, IPS/IDS, and cloud network security controls to safeguard against internal and external threats.
- Enforce Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to cybersecurity policies, ISO 27001/NIST frameworks, and audit requirements through disciplined configuration, patching, and logging.
- Implement Zero-Trust & Segmentation: Strengthen access control and network segmentation across wired, wireless, and cloud networks to enhance security posture.
- Manage Vulnerabilities & Patching: Oversee vulnerability assessments, scheduled patching, and security configuration checks to mitigate risks and maintain compliance.
- Coordinate Threat Detection & Response: Collaborate with SOC and cybersecurity teams for monitoring, incident response, and rapid threat containment across hybrid environments.
- Drive Cloud Security Adoption: Lead implementation of cloud-native security solutions, secure network integrations, and modernized access policies to support enterprise digital transformation.

Network Modernization & Upgrades
- Lead Enterprise Network Transformation: Drive modernization initiatives including SD-WAN deployment, Wi-Fi 6/7 rollout, NAC upgrades, and hybrid connectivity aligned with organizational digital strategy.
- Manage Lifecycle Upgrades & Technology Refresh: Oversee end-to-end hardware, software, and firmware upgrades to maintain technology currency, vendor compliance, and operational reliability.
- Implement Next-Generation Network Solutions: Integrate advanced technologies such as SASE, DNA Center, and network automation frameworks to enhance scalability, visibility, and agility.
- Ensure Delivery Excellence: Execute projects from design to handover with testing, performance validation, and adherence to risk, quality, and compliance standards.
- Optimize Operational Readiness: Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless adoption, documentation, and post-deployment support for modernized network platforms.

Project Delivery & Vendor Management
- Manage Network Budgets & Investments: Oversee OPEX and CAPEX for network and security operations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and cost optimization targets.
- Lead Vendor & OEM Engagements: Manage relationships with vendors and OEMs, ensuring SLA adherence, performance accountability, and timely resolution of critical network or security issues.
- Ensure Licensing & Contract Compliance: Maintain active oversight of network licenses, support contracts, and maintenance renewals to guarantee operational continuity and regulatory compliance.
- Drive Project Execution Excellence: Oversee end-to-end delivery of network modernization and upgrade projects, ensuring scope, quality, and timelines are achieved.
- Monitor Vendor Performance Metrics: Track KPIs, SLAs, and contractual obligations, implementing corrective actions where necessary to optimize service delivery.

- Talent Leadership: Lead, mentor, and evaluate a high-performing team of network and security professionals, setting clear technical and performance goals, driving capability development, and ensuring readiness for future technologies.
