Purpose:
This position is responsible for overseeing Finance Partnering & Controlling for Enabling / Support Functions for their Capex and Revex expenditures. Enabling / Support Functions include IT, Cyber Security, HR, Admin & Security, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Marcoms, Risk & legal and other support functions.
Key responsibilities include budgeting, reporting, approvals, feasibility assessments, reporting, capitalization, review of short / long term contracts etc. This role facilitates the finance partnering for Req-to-Procure process for the procurement of materials and services while establishing a robust reporting mechanism to enhance budget monitoring and control within Enabling Functions. The overarching goal is to maintain costs within allowed limits, proactively identify risk areas, manage commercial risks, lead robust reporting mechanism to provide timely insights to partners, and support informed decision-making in alignment with the organization's goals and regulatory requirements.
This role involves dealing with different business functions and stakeholders and requires skills of leadership, negotiation, stakeholder management and decision making.
This position is responsible to lead the team of 10+ people to provide Finance Partnering to Enabling Functions and is expected to foster a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Required Education & Experience:
Professional Accountant (CA/ACCA/ ICAEW) 5 to 8 years of professional experience in financial reporting, auditing, and business finance
Experience of SAP modules, preferably S4hana
Areas of Responsibility:
- Manage budgeting and financial control for multiple business functions, ensuring alignment with SoPs, mandates, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
- Enable reporting frameworks for tracking and optimizing budget utilization.
- Provide financial visibility to business units through reporting and insights to enable informed decision making.
- Lead the financial feasibility assessment of large-scale Capex and Revex projects, ensuring optimal investment decisions.
- Partner in negotiation of contracts, balancing commercial risk and cost efficiency.
- Negotiate commercial terms for major contracts and turnkey projects.
- Act as a strategic advisor to enabling departments, offering insights on financial performance and investment planning.
- Develop short- and long-term financial models for planning and tariff purposes.
- Partner with Inventory Management / Disposal Function to provide financial insights and identify and mitigate risks areas
- Partner with leadership teams to drive strategic financial planning and cost-control initiatives.
- Enable automation of processes, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Manage financial audits and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to SOPs.
