Basic Job Function

Ensure reliable operation and 24x7 uptime of SIEMENS Sinaut Spectrum SCADA Application by managing, maintaining and administrating telecontrol interface (TCI), Servers, workstations, SCADA applications & utilities (NA, EMS, DW, LS, DTS, SDM, DDU, ARU, etc), HoPF GPS Time and Frequency System, BARCO Wall & Transform A controller, weather stations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Solaris OS administration tasks to ensure up time of SCADA Sinaut Spectrum Application.
• Assist hardware/software configuration and management.
• Implement value additions in SCADA application in close coordination with Manager SCADA Systems for better monitoring & control of EHT/HT networks
• Development of customized views & tables within Sinuate Spectrum application to support LDC in planning of Outage Management & other critical operational activities
• Maintain the Data Life Cycle Management of SCADA’s Data from its creation in archive and then shift to NAS (network attached storage) and finally move into Tape backups.
• Troubleshoot errors and warning in SCADA applications and utilities by analyzing logs and application dumps
• Management and maintenance of Network Application server so that NA, EMS, DW, STLF, UC, ITM, ITS and other dependent utilities are operational
• Management and maintenance of Telecontrol Interface (TCI) and Telecontrol Server applications to ensure uninterrupted and redundant communication channels between Master Station and Remote Stations.
• BARCO Wall Management and maintenance to ensure desired brightness and picture quality of Large Screen Projection Display (LSPD)
• Maintenance of HoPF GPS Time and Frequency System for clock synchronization and LED matrix display to display Time and Total MW,
• Responsible for taking backups on daily, weekly & bi-annually the full system backups
• Mounting of Archived Data on Load Dispatch Center demand / need basis
• Responsible for management of Sinaut Spectrum v4.5application, UIs and utilities, soft buses, ODB (NA, IM, UI, RTCand TC), SDB,relations, page file system, archiving, Image bus etc.
• Define new or modify existing 220/132/66 or 11kV grid stations and define new RTU configuration
• Meet Schedules and timelines, understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly checklists and forms derived from defined policies
• Ensure execution of all assigned tasks as per defined safety and operational procedures and policies
• Assist preparation of specifications for procurement of new equipment/parts
• Participate in safety drills/meetings, SOPs & housekeeping. Responsibly adopt all HSEQ recommended safety procedures and PPE’s during site/field visits.
• Responsible to implement all safety procedures as advised by HSEQ dept. in all activities of SCADA hardware and software systems.
• Responsibly adopt all defined SCADA operational and safety operating procedures and policies
• Ensure availability of presence in emergencies and exigencies round the clock.
• Abide by instructions to handle other systems as needed /instructed/directed by line manager and/or above authorities
• Regular monitoring of temperature and environment of Server room/UPS room/SCADA room and other sub-system locations

Qualification

BE Electrical/Electronics with relevant experience
