Purpose

This position assists, supervises and execution of substation automation system, cyber security and SCADA projects for KE Grids & Transmission. The primary responsibility is to support in day-to-day project execution activities and coordinate GSMP, Telecom, SCADA/RTU maintenance, NC SCADA operation and contractors. Witnesses of FAT, SAT and ensure timely project execution. Compliance of company HSEQ guidelines and policies, international IEC/ANSI/DN standards and regulatory / statutory framework of Pakistan.

Education

BE (Electronics or Electrical) 

Knowledge


Good Knowledge of Power Utility SAS, Cyber Security and SCADA Systems.
Extensive knowledge of Gateways, Servers, Workstations, Firewall, Ethernet Switches, GPS, etc of various Vendors i.e GE, SEL, SIEMENS, ABB.
Commissioning & Laying of FO Patch chords, and Ethernet cables. 
Knowledge of Project Execution. 
- Skill in MS Excel, Power View, Power BI, MS project, Visio, MS PowerPoint and MS Word.
Business & finance Acumen.
Knowledge of HSEQ in Power Transmission Network environment.

Experience

BE (Electronics or Electrical) with a minimum of 2 or 3 years of experience in Power Utility Substation Automation, Cyber Security and SCADA System.

Area of Responsibilities

Project Tendering Phase: (25%)

Assist in preparation of preliminary designs, work scopes and BOQ’s.
Assist in developing technical equipment specifications and datasheets.
Assist in coordination of pre-bid and post-bid queries and prepare response.
 

Project Execution Phase: (35%)

Supervise project sites activities to monitor the day-to-day progress. 
Participate in weekly progress meetings and identify the project related issues. 
Assist in reviews of substation automation system and SCADA design.
Assist in review of schematic drawings of SAS, cyber security and control/protection.
Witness of FAT activities.
Witness of SAT activities.
Supervise of site activities of SAS and SCADA equipment installation.
Gateways, Server, Workstations, Firewall, FO patch Chords, Ethernet Cable, Network Switches, GPS, etc.
Supervise of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

Project Documentation: (25%)

Assist in review of FAT protocol and participate in factory witnessing (FAT) activity.
Assist in review of SAT protocol and participate in Site witnessing (SAT) activity.
Ensure timely preparation of progress report and keep record of it.
Assist in monthly progress presentations.
Ensure timely dispatch of design files, as-built drawings and other technical documents to end user.
Maintain & handle monthly TBTs records and share with concern HSE coordinator.


Project Closure: (15%)

Assist in witnessing of the project invoices.
Coordinate with user for jointly preparing the punch list for closure of the project.
Handle the taking and handing over material and equipment.
Review and witness project material reconciliation report.
Assist in preparation of lesson learned report 
Handle with contractor and end user for DLP and warranty issue.
