PURPOSE
The prime responsibility is to perform maintenance and upkeep of meter testing benches in terms of software upgradation, spare arrangement, configuration and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operability of meter testing lab. To provide lab staff with the technical assistance on how testing is performed and develop training models for them, as per the latest IEC standards Perform analysis on given solutions for procedural improvement in system. Timely Calibration of Meter Test Benches & other testing equipment used in Lab through PCSIR. The incumbent is required to perform responsibilities of site testing, including scheduled meters testing and private meters testing at customers premises, participating in meter design improvement and research and development initiatives, internal audits, preparation for external audit, performing intermediate checks and measurement uncertainty calculations following ISO/IEC 17025:2017 guidelines complying with the company policies, values, vision and mission statement.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Relevant Experience: BE Electronics/Electrical

Knowledge Skills
• Thorough knowledge of all types of Energy meters installed on K.E network.
• Thorough knowledge of Specification on Meter Testing Benches.
• Thorough knowledge of all types of Energy Meters Wiring Scheme.
• Understanding of international standards like IEC 62053-11, 62053-21-22, 62053-22 & 62053-23
• ISO 17025 & ISO 9001Participate Design of Pro type of Single & Three Phase energy meters.
• Good Knowledge of trouble shooting and problem rectification, and maintenance methodologies

1 Meter Testing Equipment Maintenance 40%
Perform repair/maintenance activity of all testing benches for smooth processing of test procedures.
• Perform periodic maintenance of all test benches.
• Perform corrective maintenance of meter testing benches as and when required.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts of the meter testing benches.
• Perform intermediate checks and determine need for calibration of the testing equipment periodically
• Maintenance of MTE equipment, which is used for testing of energy meters on site
2 Software Programming of Meters testing Benches. 30%
Develop testing program sequence procedure of different types of meters in test bench software.
• Ensure all testing bench software are up to date, as per the latest IEC standards
• Execute updates/troubleshooting in testing bench software when required.
• Coordinate with vendors when required for software maintenance etc.
3 Quality Assurance as per IEC 17025 & ISO 9001: 20%
• Maintain Lab equipment performance by establishing quality standard ISO 17025 & ISO 9001
• Periodically Certifying testing instruments performance by Calibration through PCSIR.
• Maintain quality results and minimize variation in results by participating through Inter Lab Comparison (ILC) programed and application of root cause analyses where results tend to show variation.
• Ensure and monitor quality of test environment and sampling.
4 HSEQ Management 10%
• • Conducts safety walks to monitor implementation of safety laws/tools as per defined HSEQ standards.
• Facilitates team in provision of safety trainings to concerned individuals.
• Implements zero fatality vision through proper adherence with defined safety criterions such as SLA, fire and safety etc.
