Purpose

This position assists, prepares  Bill of Quantity (BOQ), Costing/Budgeting and co-ordinate for the execution of EHT underground transmission line Projects under PID, conduct route survey, preliminary Design review, Pre-bid and Post-bid surveys, preliminary review technical bid evaluation and prepares Technical Closure Summary, Evaluate and assists and coordinates the strength of the EPC contractors, Sub-contractors, review design/drawings & technical submittals as per KE specifications with relevant stakeholders and user departments in the project meetings. 
Supervises execution of project, Installation activities, witness of equipment Testing, Commissioning and Energization process. Coordinates with user for issuance of punchlist and Ensures Punch List clearance by the Contractor, ensure timely submission of the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manual, As-built drawings, facilitate in preparing Taking Over Certificate (TOC), assist in Handing Over of Project to end user.
These all activities are carried out WITH the objective to improve the redundancy of the transmission network, and achieve end user satisfaction WITHIN the limits of company policies, objectives, IEC, IEEE,ITU, VDE standards, departmental SOPs, and guidelines / directions from supervisor/line manager.
 

Education

BE Electrical 

 

Knowledge


-Good Knowledge of  design review, Technical submittals of underground cable system     
- Familiar with IEC, IEEE, standards.
- Good Knowledge of KE Specifications.
- Knowledge of HSEQ SOPs. 
Familiar with project management and contract management.

Area of Responsibilities

Project Planning and Development (10%)


Receives details of upcoming projects from Project development team. Plan joint route surveys with development team, prepare BOQs, Costing/Budgeting. Provide inputs to planning team in raising Purchase request (PR) & preparation and floating of tender documents.

Tendering & Award (10%)


Assist & co-ordinate in Pre-bid and Post-bid surveys; review technical bid evaluation, Evaluates the strength of the EPC contractors, Sub-contractors, and prepare Technical Closure Summary.

Site Execution and Progress Review (55%)


Review design & technical submittals from contractor in compliance with KE specification and IEC Standards.
Assist and co-ordinate in project meetings with relevant stakeholders and corresponds with contractor and user departments.
Supervise execution of project, site Installation activities in compliance with KE specifications & approved drawings.
 

Testing, Comissioning and Energization (10%)

Assist and co-ordinate in testing, commissioning and energization process.
Review the commissioning test protocols, witnessing of commissioning tests and signing off test reports at site in compliance with KE specifications and IEC standards.
 

Punch List Clearance and Handing Over (10%)


Coordinate with user for issuance of punchlist and Ensures Punch List clearance by the Contractor. Ensure from contractor for timely submission of the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manual, As-built drawings, facilitate in preparation of Taking Over Certificate (TOC). Assist in Handing Over of Project to end user.

Continuous Process Improvement (5%)


Prepare, reviews and maintains reports of amendments performed in the previous project just and seek continuous improvements from it
