Purpose
This role includes providing financial feasibility of projects, guiding BU in driving unit budget and highlighting areas of key budget concerns and assisting Revex Controller in presenting the same to leadership. To analyze and identify business gaps and advise the BUs in Business improvement and optimization opportunities. Monitoring performance evaluation against targets and budget and highlighting variance to BUs and providing overall cost visibility with scorecard KPIs.
Periodic coordination with Regulatory Department and providing them assistance in all matters relating to NEPRA.
Education & Experience
Professional Accountant / MBA with minimum 4 years of relevant experience
Knowledge
International Accounting Standards (IAS/IFRS)
Understanding of Financial modeling and effective budgeting
Cost control
Business Acumen
Process improvement.
Understanding of SAP
Area of Responsibilities
1 Business Partner – TSW
Assisting Revex Controller in providing financial consulting support to the TSW leads through assessment of current systems, business processes, and financial controls and creating thorough, strategic and practical recommendations.
Works with various stakeholders to develop meaningful metrics to measure performance, areas for improvement, risks and opportunities.
Provide support to the manufacturing team for decision making, quantifying the financial impact of alternate production options, capital investment decisions and possible rationalization.
Dealing with Regulatory department to support on different issues raised by Energy Regulation Authority (NEPRA).
Manage and maintain the TSW's costing system, updating costs where appropriate and allocating/absorbing fixed overheads so that the costing system provides a reliable basis for management decision making.
Lead development, implementation, and management of new ERP programs.
2 Budgeting and controlling
Prepares the budget and performs initial review along with TSW discussing conceptual alignment.
Compiling and consolidating Capex & Revex annual budget of TSW and assisting Revex Controller in presenting and seeking approval from leadership.
Providing financial insights and visibility on Annual Budget with comparative analysis which support management in decision making.
Acts as a controlling function for TSW, monitoring cost trends and providing support to business for better budgeting.
Involved in Cash flow forecasting, variance analysis and its reporting to the Management.
3 Visibility and Reporting
Monthly Cash forecasting and variance analysis based on the historic trends and its reporting to the Treasury Department so that they can manage the overall company cash requirements.
Performing inhouse P&L analysis for TSW for better visibility of cost and savings.
Preparation of scorecards and presenting it to HOSC in monthly meetings to provide visibility on achievement of financial and operational targets.
Extending support for the team in designing and producing monthly cost reports.
Liaising Financial reporting team to reconcile CWIP, Capex and Monthly leadership reporting pack.
Evaluating and advising the financial and cost implications of new product development such as Low Loss transformers.
4 Contract Management and Others
Liaison with Legal Department and procurement in drafting new contract agreements.
Periodic review of on‐going contract documents, along with Procurement, in accordance with corporate policy.
Analyzes significant, and/or unique contract requirements, special addendums, terms & conditions.
Ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business unit procedure.
Reviewing and approving of ROs, SES & invoices as per financial approval mandate.
