PURPOSE:

This position contributes as one of the core building blocks in ensuring proper coordination of protection system up to 132kV KE Network by conducting gap analysis and performing the protection coordination studies, reviewing the implemented parameter setting upto 132 kV network and propose the revised settings and way forwards. 

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILTY:

1. Technical Root Cause Analysis / Fault Analysis:

- Collect first hand information from AM/DM GSO which include sequence of events, relay indications and other system dynamics at the time of tripping of EHT lines,Transmission Lines and Transformers. 

- Gather and manage reports such as fault records and testing results from GSMP to analyze the fault to ascertain the root cause and the contributing cause. 

2. Preventive Maintenance Checklist/Reports:

- Review and develop the Preventive Maintenance checklist of Grid equipment and testing protocols before the start of Preventive Maintenance cycle of Transformers pertaining to protection which is eventually approved by HOD Analysis. 

- Identify discrepancies in Preventive Maintenance forms pertaining to protection. 

3. Protection settings of KE Transmission Network upto 132kV System:

- Review and calculate the protection settings of KE Transmission network upto 132kV System. 

4. Database Management:

- Prepare and and maintain Master data base of implemented protection settings of EHT Transmission Lines, ATRs, PTRs and 11kV  Feeders. 

- Maintain and update Master database of protection/control setting pertaining to KE Network. 

5. Standard Procedures:

- Draft SOPs for activities pertaining to Analysis department for smooth business operations. 

 

EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor of Electrical/Electronic Engineering with minimum of 2-3 years of relevant
