Purpose: An experienced and proactive individual to join our team as Deputy Manager of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Behavioral Safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating the Process & Behavioral safety as well as Asset Management and Integrity programs to promote a culture of safety and network reliability. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of safety principles and reliability estimation techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the Process Hazard Identification and risk mitigation studies by using analysis tools like HAZOP, FMECA etc.
- Lead and oversee the Asset Management and Integrity studies by using reliability-based analysis tools like Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) & Risk Based Inspection (RBI) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Develop, implement, and oversee behavioral safety programs and initiatives by evolving workforce behavior on Negative thinking, Negative Emotion, Conflicting believes and Limiting believes, aimed at promoting safe behaviors and attitudes among employees within the organization.
- Lead and oversee the analysis for incidents and accidents, ensuring thorough investigations are conducted to identify underlying causes and contributing factors.
- Analyze incident data and trends to identify patterns and potential areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and information for investigations, including interviews, documentation reviews, and site inspections.
- Facilitate meetings and discussions with key stakeholders to review investigation findings, validate conclusions, and agree on action plans.
- Monitor and track the implementation of agreed actions resulting from studies and investigations to ensure timely completion and effectiveness.
- Conduct regular behavioral safety assessments and observations to identify unsafe behaviors and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide training and coaching to employees and supervisors on behavioral safety program, investigation techniques and root cause analysis, Asset Management & Integrity analysis techniques, and best practices.
- Collaborate with HR, training, and other departments to integrate behavioral safety and Asset Management & Integrity concept into existing training programs and organizational processes.
- Stay informed about relevant industry best practices, regulations, and emerging trends.
- Prepare and present relevant reports, metrics, and performance indicators to senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor implementation and quality of behavior-based safety programs across KE directly, and through BU HSEs.
- Design and introduce new initiatives / programs tailored to departmental risks and improvement areas.
Education & Relevant Experience:
BE Electrical and having 5 years of relevant experience (preferably 2 years in field and 3 years in HSE)
