This position is pivotal within the IT Infrastructure Operations Department, serving a dual operational role:

  • Enterprise Administration: Oversee mission-critical enterprise infrastructures, including Server solutions, UNIX / Linux Operating Systems for supporting key business hosting platforms.

  • Budget and Financial Management: Serve as the primary specialist, managing the financial aspects of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional Tasks:

  • Collaborate closely with all IT Infrastructure pillars and relevant stakeholders throughout the budget cycle and procurement process.

  • Initiate and manage the Procurement Request (PR) process on SAP according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), acting as the main Point-of-Contact (POC) for IT and related departments.

  • Oversee the complete IT operations process, ensuring timely management of goods and payments.

  • Participate in diverse, cross-functional teams to achieve corporate productivity, quality, and financial goals.

  • Identify and implement efficiencies in business processes to address current challenges.

  • Efficiently process SAP-MM module, SES/GRN, and Advance Imprest PRs.

  • Manage communications with both global and local vendors for invoicing and settlements, and address any discrepancies by liaising with Tax, BMC, BF, and Treasury departments.

Technical Responsibilities:

Key elements of this position include:

  1. Operational Command: 24x7 Administration Support of KE's Enterprise Servers, UNIX / LINUX Operating Environments, DevOPS, Web and Application Infrastructures.

    1. Infrastructure Management: Oversee the continuous operations of Enterprise Servers IBM Power Series, Oracle Engineered Systems (PCA, Exadata), HP and Dell Servers (rack and VxRails), UNIX/LINUX OS Administration, Storages, and Backup/Archiving platforms. Ensure these resources are robust, secure, and well-designed to cater to the organization's dynamic requirements.

    2. UNIX/LINUX System Administration: End-to-End L2 Administration of 100+ critical Solutions based on UNIX/LINUX Operating Systems like SAP (Ubuntu, Suse, Redhat Linux 6,7,8,9 and AIX 7.x), Head End Systems (ISKRA, Holly, Hexing), SAP Success Factor, SAP BW, Call Center Solutions, 118 Portal, SAP Fiori etc. This includes routine system administration activities as well as regular housekeeping, patching, vulnerabilities fixations, audit and governance compliances related to

    3. Cloud Infrastructure Administration: Designing, implementing, and maintaining the AWS cloud infrastructure, such as virtual machines, storage, and networking components.

      1. Experience in implementing security measures and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations in the cloud environment.

      2. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).

      3. Knowledge of networking concepts, such as IP addressing, DNS, and load balancing.

      4. Understanding of data storage and database technologies, such as SQL and NoSQL.

    4. Precision Monitoring & Reporting: Harness elite tools, from proprietary to open source such as SolarWinds and LPAR2RRD, for meticulous oversight, ensuring Enterprise Systems portfolios consistently outperform mandated KPIs.

    5. Emerging Technology Implementation:

      1. Automating repetitive system administration processes through DevOps Tools such as Ansible, Chef etc. for increased productivity and overcoming resource shortage through smart work.

      2. Conceptualization to Deployment of new and emerging technologies for aiding in streamlining and strengthening system administration activities and feature set enhancements.

      3. Liaison with OEMs and Vendors for evaluation of various collaborative exercises with Vendors and OEMs e.g.  On-Prem Infrastructure to Public Cloud Migrations etc.

  2. System Reliability:

    1. Vendor Engagement: Primary liaison for Hardware Support engagements with OEMs and Channel Partners (DELL/EMC, Oracle, IBM, Redhat, SUSE, Tech Access, MRPElite etc,) including but not limited to Support Renewals, Support Cases lodging, Part Replacements, Firmware Upgrades / Patching etc.  

  1. Governance & Compliance:

    1. Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for IT infrastructure overall processes and role-based access control (RBAC), ensuring that it is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to all authorized personnel.

    2. Policy & Procedural Compliance: Implementation of governance and security controls and protocols on in-scope solutions in alignment with Governance and Security policie

  2. Education & Relevant Experience: 

    1. B.E/BS/MS Computer Science / Finance / Accounting,

    2. 5+ years of working experience working in IT with Financial Management expertise​​​​​​

  3. Must Have Skills:

    1. Unix / Linux Operating System Administration: Experience in administration of UNIX / LINUX operating systems. 

    2. Enterprise System Administration: Experience in Management of Enterprise Servers / Storages Platforms. 

    3. Cloud Expertise: Proficiency in leading cloud technologies, specifically Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

    4. SAP MM module, PR/RO/SES/GRN Process knowledge and Expertise

    5. IT operations including invoicing, payments, PR/PO process initiation

    6. Experienced in Cross Functional Collaboration  with IT,  Tax, BMC, BF and Treasury departments to resolve discrepancies related to procurements, budgets. 

    7. Knowledge of Enterprise Servers Infrastructure in a large and reputed organization with respect to their management and life cycle.
