PURPOSE

The role of this position is to identify basic power network changes for performing power system data modeling jobs via Source Data Management (SDM) tool. Monitor tele-metered data units and addresses compliance with IEC standard, continuous monitoring of Discrepancy portal jobs for timely resolution WITH the objective to ensure real time & up to date visibility of Power Network WITHIN the limits of established company policies and procedures, departmental strategy and Security Governance Policies and framework.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Network Visibility and Transformations

Make SCADA station mimics up to date as per the Single Line Diagram of grid

Identify network topologies for dynamic display of switchgears and switches. 

Create hierarchical links on mimics for accessing different voltage levels and station views.

Integration of Data links & Tele-metered signals in Power Spectrum

Define tele-metered signals & Data links in Power Spectrum.

Assign link parameters for communication

Assign IEC addresses to the Technological addresses

Discrepancies Identification, Testing and Rectification

Identify the discrepancies related to network topology, incorrect depiction of technological elements, status & values.

Monitor & limit the violation messages in Historical Information System to ensure optimize performance of HIS.

Identify discrepancies related to tele-metered signals (RTU alarm, toggling messages, digital status, analog values) and report to outstation team or LDC.

Safety

Adhere to all HSE recommended safety procedures/protocols and departmental guidelines.

SAP PM Module Utilization

Create Corrective and Preventive Work Orders of performed

maintenance/scheduled work

Utilization of SAP-PM work order for material issuance for maintenance activities.

Closure of SAP-PM notification and maintenance orders

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Strong Understanding of concepts related to:

Power Networks, Electrical Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams

Fundamental Principles of Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunication

Knowledge of Communication Protocols

SCADA Technology & Architecture

Basic Understanding of Cyber Security

Teamwork & Collaboration

Language Proficiency (English)

Communication (Written, Verbal & Presentation

EDUCATION & RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

B.E (Electrical / Electronics) with 1-2 years of Experience in related field
