Assistant Manager Supply & Operations Planning

Purpose:
The concerned person shall be responsible for creating demand forecast including aggregation of monthly demand forecast, indicating Specialist S&OP of changes in demand forecasts, incorporating these changes in the aggregate, monitoring trends, facilitating upload of pre-agreed accurate monthly forecasts, comparing actual and forecasted demand, assisting in resolution of key demand/service cost issues. He/she shall measure, control and improve S&OP plan accuracy and aid the Specialist S&OP to run sensitivity analysis. He/she shall implement optimization strategy for ordering, execute integration of new/additional businesses, execute supply and capacity planning.

Education & Experience:
•    Degree in Business, Finance and/or Supply Chain Management
•    3-5-years of experience in Supply Chain (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and SLOB in an environment of both manufactured and sourced finished goods/Services) and/or related supply chain management including design, implementation, and execution of S&OP related processes
•    Knowledge of procurement operations best practices.
 
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Planning and Execution
    Implement a performance metrics framework.
    Implement the Demand Planning framework.
    Provide analytical findings with insights, to identify both opportunities and potential issues within S&OP processes and reporting as well as those across departments.
    Research and analyze findings for business case development and present cases with insights, for recommendations to help improve results.
    Assist in identification, monitoring and reporting of assumptions, risks and opportunities relating to the medium- and long-term business targets. 
    Execute strategy for reducing of all costs pertaining to inventory and its holding.
    Execute the site S&OP cycle including running of pre S&OP and monthly S&OP meetings. 
    Manage the aggregation of the demand plan process across product categories and BUs, producing a rolling 12-18 month estimate of unconstrained future demand in units (or whatever business circumstances demand)
    Conduct rough cut capacity and scenario planning to be able to validate and present data and analytics to facilitate decision making.
    Plan and monitor sourcing quantities, in the short and long term, in collaboration with business and changes in the execution environment and/or financial resources.
    Take ownership of data preparation and material for monthly S&OP meetings that will facilitate decisions around equipment, labor and all other resources needed to support demand over the S&OP planning horizon.
    Collaborate with business planning units for validation of demand numbers and/or any demand sensing activity.
    Achieve customer service order fulfilment objectives of >95% OTIF while maintaining inventory levels at targeted goals.
    Develop support metrics, tools and reporting that will enable Manufacturing plants and Procurement teams to achieve these service level and inventory targets.
    Facilitate prioritizing demand and/or allocating supply to a customer or region when demand exceeds supply.

Stakeholder Management
    Coordinate and facilitate the monthly S&OP meetings to achieve the demand plan consensus including strategic, product, sales, and marketing activities as well as supply plan balance and constraints/gaps.
    Work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics; Distribution to evaluate the demand/production plan against inventory, capacity and external factors and to create mitigation actions if needed.
    Partner with business units for efficient methods of collating demand and developing any other methodology based on historical trends of relevant parameters and prevalent circumstances.
Compliance
    Evaluate inventory reports to identify slow moving and obsolete inventories and collaborate with the sales team to develop disposition plans.
