Purpose

This position is responsible for execution of  ABC, OMR, MSBB, AMR, HT ABC, SIP feeder laying, NC Underground links & Earthing projects in a given IBC; to ensure all projects are timely completed while meeting all the safety and  quality standards of the company while ensuring the optimum resources utilization; to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for ensuring smooth execution of projects; act as a focal point for all project related activities for a given IBC; WITH the objective to ensure loss reduction, network stability/reliability and sustainable capacity enhancement for reliable and efficient distribution of electrical power WITHIN the limits of internal business policies and SOPs, , safety and quality standards

Education

4 years degree in Electrical Engineering.

Area of Responsibilities

Planning and Execution of Projects(60%)

Preparing Project Execution Plan for ABC/OMR/MSBB schemes through conducting site survey to identify accuracy of drawings and BOM provided by Cluster team.

Prepare Project Plan on MS Project/SAP PS Module

Coordination with Regional and Cluster finance for WBS creation of schemes

Planning of network material, material and service planning on SAP.

Support site supervisors in project execution and ensure necessary information and resources are provided to them

Share daily shutdown plan with CM team in case of ABC/MSBB projects

Share requirement of technical resources and security guards with IBC where needed

Planning of resources for optimum utilization of resources, prepare plan B in case original plan is not working out due to various factors to ensure avoiding wastage of manpower

Conduct regular site surveys to ensure that work is being carried out as per proposal.

Ensure consumption and safety sheets are properly maintained by SITE supervisors

Verify invoicing of PQCs against in-progress/completed schemes

Update completion report on portal for capitalization

Coordinate with IBC for area clearance

Data updation for WBS creation on FAR portal for SIP feeders

Conducting joint-survey with UGM and PQC teams for identification of route

Coordinate with CM for energization of feeders in coordination with allied departments

Conduct Survey and execution of NC linking cable/Feeders in coordination with NC Teams

Quality and Handing over (Monitoring, Controlling & Closing) - 15%

Ensure 95% or above passing rate on all completed ABC/OMR/MSBB schemes through cluster QC team

Conduct quality survey before sending PMTs for completion

Coordinating with Cluster QC team for joint-survey of completed schemes

Ensure to rectify observations of cluster QC team at earliest

Update As-built drawing of completed ABC schemes

Conduct handing over and taking with IBC teams after passing of PMTs through quality

Internal & External Coordination - 10 %

Coordinating with Regional and cluster Finance teams for timely creation/approval of feasibility and opening of WBS.

Coordinating with PM/IBC teams to follow-up on under preparation schemes keep track of WBS files to plan upcoming projects

Coordinate with cluster finance team for capitalization of schemes through portal

Coordination for programming of AMR meters with smart grid/meter department/IBC

Coordination with CM teams for arranging shut down as per the plan of execution team

Safety - 5%

Conducting regular safety walks to ensure safety SOPs and standards are being followed

Ensure that site supervisors have necessary safety trainings and knowledge.

Making sure that safety formats are being maintained on sites and their regular submission to departmental safety coordinator

People Management - 10%

Ensure optimum utilization of teams keeping in view their strength and type of projects

Plan rotation of team members in all projects so each team member will gain experience and knowledge of multiple projects (i.e. ABC/OMR/MSBB/AMR/Feeders/NC links etc.), with a mission to create parity of skill and knowledge among all team members
