Purpose
This position provides direction to Meter Inspection Officers and other loss control teams based on analyzed data identifying areas and causes of loss of energy. These responsibilities are carried out WITH the objective to ensure loss reduction, discourage use of hook connections (legal/illegal), promote use of energy through metered connections, correct consumer mapping, ensure consumer satisfaction and compliance with HSEQ standards WITHIN the limits of organizational policies and SOPs, departmental objectives, environmental policies, HSEQ standards, business code of conduct and directions/guidelines from supervisor.

Basic knowledge of SAP Modules (Preferable)
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
Fundamental knowledge of electrical measuring instruments
Years of Experience
2-3 years of experience in relevant industry
Functional Competencies
Area of Responsibilities
Meter Inspection (30%)
Assigns Site Inspection Reports (SIRs) to MIOs based on data indicating high loss pockets/circuits, discrepancies identified by meter readers, consumer complaints/feedback and other similar sources
Undertakes all to implement necessary controls/measures confirming SIR quality
Reviews SIRs properly while Countersigning each one of them
Runs sequential inspections of HL/VHL PMTs/circuits, special projects, tracking on unmapped consumers
Undertakes timely and accurate PMT/SS check reading of the entire network and its subsequent data entry into SAP Energy Data Management (EDM)
Assures that all MIOs are properly trained and equipped to detect faulty meters, illegal connections, neutral breaks & all related theft cases
Guides consumers specifically routed through CC for addressing their SIR related grievances
Check Meter and Consumer Mapping (20%)
Supervises consumer mapping and sweeping of PMTs for better data reliance and network design
Addresses check meter anomalies in system and through replacement at site
Deposits removed/recovered material in theft cases to DMS

Site Surveys (15%)
Undertakes supervisory checks to monitor field work
Ensures performance gaps through sample site checks
Accompanies teams for observing for their work habits, time management, diligence, attitude and behavioral practices
Reporting and Analysis (10%)
Maintains all relevant data records and statistics for reporting and analysis for all projects
Prepares reports on metering discrepancies and illegal connections through data received from MIOs.
Performs check meter analysis
HSE Management (15%)
Carries out Tool Box Talks(TBTs) with the right spirit and as per SOP
Conducts safety walks and surprise visits on site to monitor implementation of safety laws/tools as per defined HSEQ standards
Facilitates team in provision of safety trainings to concerned individuals on site
Implements zero fatality vision through proper adherence with defined safety criterions such as SLA, fire and safety etc.
Implements techniques for improvement in working environment; Ensures functional and operational adherence with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures as well as safety and well-being of staff and public
People Management (10%)
Identifies training requirements of the Staff; contributes in performance management of direct reports; Manages development, career planning and engagement of subordinates in coordination with HR
Handles administrative issues including recruitment, leaves, grievances and other issues; Provides guidance to the direct reports as and when required
Establishes team-spirit and ensures seamless interaction among team members; Ensures parity among subordinates with regards to learning and growth opportunities
