Job Purpose:

This role will serve as a crucial support to Manager Legal and Regulation, aiding in the formulation and execution of all legal matters and regulatory compliance initiatives. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing data management, archiving and record management of previously closed cases, providing essential support to the line manager, and ensuring the seamless closure of all relevant legal matters.

 

Area of Responsibilities:

  • Assist Manager Legal and Regulation in formulating and drafting legal strategies and compliance procedures.
  • Supervise and manage data related to legal matters, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, contracts, and agreements along with preparation of comments in legal/regulatory cases after consulting relevant departments.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across departments to gather necessary information and ensure alignment with legal objectives.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and other third-party stakeholders as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the Manager Legal and Regulation, including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends relevant to the company's operations.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of legal principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.

 

Education and Experience

Business/Law graduate with 2–3 years of relevant experience preferably in the energy or utility sector.
