Purpose:

The Project Governance plays a pivotal role in supporting the governance framework within the organization’s project execution function. This position involves a blend of technical expertise and administrative acumen to ensure that projects are executed in compliance with organizational standards and best practices.

 

Education & Relevant Experience:

4 years of bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 2 to 3 years of experience in project governance.

 

Knowledge:

Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies

Understanding of governance framework

Acquaintance of Audit management

Proficient in stakeholder management

 

Skills:

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Areas of Responsibility:

 

Project Execution

Execute and monitor project activities, ensuring alignment with governance standards.

Manage changes to scope, cost, and schedule of project work.

 

Coordination

Coordinate priorities and resources between multiple projects.

Facilitate cross-functional meetings and sessions to effectively resolve issues.

 

Planning and Reporting

Prepare and update project plans and status reports.

Report on project status and develop project-related documentation.

 

Compliance and Oversight

Ensure that project activities comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.

Conduct project audits and evaluate project documentation for accuracy and completeness.

 

Resource Management

Allocate appropriate resources to ensure projects are completed within time and budget constraints.

Utilize corporate processes to track project schedule and cost.

 

Quality Assurance

Update and maintain production and quality metrics for projects.

Implement lessons learned and best practices to improve project outcomes.

 

Stakeholder Engagement

Participate in corporate business development activities.

Engage with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

 

People Management

Ensure optimum utilization of teams keeping in view their strength and type of projects.

Plan rotation of team members in all projects so each team member will gain experience and knowledge of multiple projects with a mission to create parity of skill and knowledge among all team members.

 

Leadership and Direction

Lead and direct both the technical and administrative project teams.

Provide support and guidance to project managers and team leaders.

 

Safety

Conducting regular MSAs to ensure safety SOPs and standards are being followed.

Ensure that site supervisors have necessary safety trainings and knowledge.

Making sure that safety formats are being maintained on sites and their regular submission to departmental safety coordinator.
