Purpose

This position manages, supervises and leads Shift Operations at AOC for timely resolution of all HT & LT Network Complaints. These responsibilities are carried out WITH the objective to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the customers through a rectification process having control set of activities, get system back into operations as quickly as possible, avoid any sudden and heavy failure (breakdown) in future, contribute in value addition through effective resource utilization, ensure consumer satisfaction, ensure minimal consumer downtime ultimately leading towards improved SAIDI/CAIDI and compliance with HSEQ standards WITHIN the limits of organizational policies and SOPs, departmental objectives, environmental policies, HSEQ standards, business code of conduct and directions/guidelines from supervisor.

BE – Electrical

Knowledge

  • Network/ Equipment Maintenance
  • Fault Analysis and rectification
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
  • Basic knowledge of SAP CRM and PM module/ other monitoring tools
  • Awareness with relevant HSE practices/ SOPs

Area of Responsibilities

1. Complaint Resolution   50%

  • Ensures confirmation of TBT and vehicle check list is filled before dispatching/operating of field teams
  • Forms requisite number of teams and their timely dispatch along with PPEs/SPEs and other necessary tools during each shift routine
  • Prioritizes work to achieve optimal performance and ensures proper working mechanism for teams in accordance with SOP
  • Undertakes that before the repair of HT related faults/shutdowns, OCR is intimated and NSIS is updated accordingly
  • Monitors consumer complaints for resolution within minimum possible time and follows-up on important/area affected faults
  • Makes sure timely updating of relevant details on SAP CRM
  • Supervises issuance and crediting of returned material in each shift as per SOP

2. Coordination       30%

  • Ensures that OCR stays updated of complaint resolution and subsequent normalization of areas affected due to HT faults
  • Coordinates with OCR to arrange necessary shutdowns for projects and back-feeding in affected areas in case of outages and confirms that all post shutdown activities are duly logged on Permit to work (PTW) form
  • Identifies repeated faults and forwards to PM for appropriate measures
  • Ascertains that faults once identified are properly isolated and forwarded to centralized UGM/SSM teams for corrective actions through proper logging in OCR
  • Coordinates with location’s POC/Business Coordinator for proper maintenance of duty rosters for all AOC staff
  • Undertakes necessary coordination with fleet department for resolution of all relevant issues concerning vehicles, drivers, fuel, attendance etc

3. HSE Management          10%

  • Ensures round the clock availability of PPEs/SPEs, tools and other material with all field force
  • Conducts safety walks and surprise visits on site to monitor implementation of safety laws/tools as per defined HSEQ standards
  • Monitors regular site spot checks to identify non-efficient performers, safety hazards, illegal extension of network/PMT and undertakes subsequent corrective measures Facilitates team in provision of safety trainings to concerned individuals on site
  • Implements zero fatality vision through proper adherence with defined safety criterions such as SLA, fire and safety etc.
  • Devises and implements techniques for improvement in working environment; Ensures functional and operational adherence with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures as well as safety and well-being of staff and public

People Managemet      10%

  • Identifies training requirements of the Staff; Contributes in performance management of direct reports; Manages development, career planning and engagement of subordinates in coordination with HR
  • Handles administrative issues including recruitment, leaves, grievances and other issues; Provides guidance to the direct reports as and when required
  • Establishes team-spirit and ensures seamless interaction among team members; Ensures parity among subordinates with regards to learning and growth opportunities
  • Creates a conducive working environment to build and sustain an engaged and committed team
