Job Purpose:
To support the HSE G&T department in ensuring effective compliance with internal and external HSEQ standards through systematic data collection, analysis, reporting, and coordination. The role focuses on maintaining quality standards under ISO 9001, Kaizen, 5S, and other continuous improvement models while acting as a liaison with key stakeholders such as the main QA department, Corporate HSEQ, and Regulatory Affairs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HSE Compliance & Data Management
- Collect, compile, and verify safety-related data from all Generation & Transmission field locations and departments.
- Maintain centralized databases for incident reports, audits, inspections, observations, and training activities.
- Perform trend analysis, KPIs monitoring, and identify gaps in safety performance.
- Raise data-driven recommendations for improvement and risk mitigation.
- Issue Monthly HSE & QMS compliance Report for Management.
- Ensures that MSA, B-level, D-level and Manhours data from BU G&T is timely communicated to Management.
- To make sure that cumulative TRIR is calculated on a weekly basis and shared with GMs BU G&T for morning meeting with Leadership.
- Perform Quarterly/Biannual/annual Staff Incident analysis.
- Ensure all relevant data is received from BU HSE teams and managed on time.
- To perform feedback analysis on all training related data
- Ensure C-4 forms of all Public Accidents are reviewed from BU G&T management before sending them to CHSEQ & NEPRA.
- Coordination for provision of relevant documents within strict timelines
- To make sure that the Annual SIR plan is prepared at the start of year and communicated to BU G&T HSE teams.
- To Perform HSE SIR reports analysis.
- Ensure all monthly HSE and Quality data submitted timely to CHSEQ HSE and Quality teams respectively.
- Ensuring observations made during SIRs & Spot Checks are timely closed through follow-up from BU G&T HSE teams.
- Ensure full adherence to NEPRA standards, international benchmarks, and organizational policies regarding quality and safety.
2. Quality Assurance & System Monitoring
- Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring quality projects under:
- - ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
- - Kaizen / Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- - 5S Workplace Organization
- Coordinate internal audits, maintain audit schedules, and track closure of non-conformities.
- Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and QA/QC tools.
- Coordinate with BU HSE & CHSEQ Quality teams for implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive initiatives for the standardization and automation of quality processes across BU G&T.
- Assist BU teams in Develop and execute QMS plans (DQIP) that support operational reliability and continuous quality improvement.
- Monitor QMS performance metrics and ensure accurate documentation.
- Assist BU teams in developing quality assurance and quality control strategies aligned with projects and routine & non-routine activities.
- Facilitate internal audits, gap assessments, and external certification processes.
- Promote a quality-oriented culture by conducting training and awareness sessions for employees at BU G&T levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of quality initiatives with organizational goals.
- Support the governance mechanism for quality compliance across BU G&T.
3. Presentation & Reporting
- Develop comprehensive HSEQ presentations, dashboards, and briefing materials for management reviews, audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Support the preparation of materials for Safety Committees, Quality Review Boards, and Performance Review Meetings.
- sharing and awareness on compliance protocols and HSEQ updates.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial engineering.
Certifications in ISO 4500, ISO 9001:2015, Lead Auditor (preferred), NEBOSH
Experience:
2+ years of experience in HSE Compliance, Quality Assurance, or a similar role preferably in power, utility, or industrial sector.
Technical Skills:
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Data Dashboards.
Familiarity with HSEQ regulations, ISO 9001, and quality control methodologies.
Ability to interpret data, create visualizations, and draft improvement strategies.
Soft Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong coordination, follow-up, and time management ability.
Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and professional integrity.
