Assistant Manager Application

Purpose:

Perform activities related to maintenance and availability of Spectrum application. Monitor daily Operational Database (ODB) backups, sub-systems, Independent Front-end System (IFS) status, Historical Information System (HIS) system and report issues with the objective of smooth and proper functioning of SCADA application System at LDC/DRC within the limits of established company policies and procedures, departmental strategy and Security Governance Policies and framework.

Education & Relevant Experience:

B.E in Computer/Electrical/Electronic with 1-2 years of relevant experience and basic understanding of programming languages, preferred.

Knowledge Area:

• Basic knowledge of Electronics, Electrical & computer systems
• Knowledge of SCADA & DCS systems 
• Basic knowledge of Power Systems and related applications
• Basic knowledge of programming languages 
• MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)

Areas of Responsibility:

SCADA Application support

• Provide 1st level of support for SCADA application issues reported by LDC or internal SCADA Admin/SDM team
• Perform INITSOS/STOPSOS and other elementary routines for workstations
• Basic troubleshooting of SCADA application issues and escalation to manager for further actions
• Ensure availability to respond to issues related to SCADA application and in emergencies/exigencies

SCADA Operational database

• Documentation/verification of SCADA application daily backups at LDC & DRC
• Monitoring of SCADA application logs and reporting of issues for further action
• Assist in backup/restoration and other corrective or preventive maintenance activities
• Monitor and report relations and soft bus overflow errors
• Maintain proper documentation of configuration changes and activities

HIS System

• Proactively monitor Historical information system issues and sizing
• Daily reporting of HIS statistics and critical discrepancies
• Follow up with team for resolution of field issues

Safety

• Adhere to all HSE recommended safety procedures/protocols and departmental guidelines

SAP PM Module Utilization

• Create Corrective and Preventive Notifications
• Create Corrective and Preventive Work Orders of performed maintenance/scheduled work
• Closure of SAP-PM notification and maintenance orders
• Utilization of SAP-PM work order for material issuance for maintenance activities
