Purpose
To carry out meter reading and inspections of industrial units and put up compiled reports to Line Manager.
Education
B.E (Electrical) or Equivalent
Knowledge
Consumer handling
Data compilation
Business/Industry and applicable regulatory laws (preferable)
Basic knowledge of MS Office
Safe Work Practices
Experience
1 - 2 years’ of experience in relevant industry.

Business
Industrial Meter Reading and Surveys:
• Undertake meter reading of all industrial connections of the IBC as per schedule.
• Carry out surveys against consumer complaints, NOC, reconnection cases and load regularization (LR) cases.
• Ensure monitoring of MDIs (Maximum Demand Indicator) and low Power Factor (PF) on monthly basis.
• Issue FMR against faulty metering equipment & other discrepancies and ensure corrective actions through relevant meter replacement teams.
• Route necessary billing information to Line Manager for preparing comparative analysis.
Industrial Meter Inspection:
• Conduct random and scheduled inspections, testing of indirect (HT Meters), semi-indirect (LT CTO Meters), direct online and AMR Meters.
• Generate quality site inspection reports for industrial consumers and large commercial and Public Sector consumers.
• Ensure identification of electricity pilferages found during inspections and coordinate with corrective teams during remedial actions.
• Record discrepancies if found during meter reading and report to Line Manager.
• Ensure immediate reporting of fake meters installation observed at site to Line Manager.
• On site verification of discrepancy (theft or faulty) through Mobile Testing Equipment.
• Report all safety hazards to the Line Manager.
