Purpose

This position is responsible to ensure Safety standards are maintained in all technical activities across KE Distribution while ensuring compliance of SOPs, Specifications, and Management Directives (where applicable)

Education

  • B. Tech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • IOSH Managing Safety preferably, NEBOSH IGC

Knowledge

  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Able to be convincing, communicatively strong.
  • Able to provide detailed Audit reports, with relevant required preventive measures.
  • Fluent English speaking and excellent report writing skills.
  • Qualified in HSE practices.
  • Should have good interpersonal skills.

Experience

  • 3-4 Years of relevant experience in reputed organization.

Area of Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health or safety.
  • Coordinate the development of health and safety policies, systems of work and procedures.
  • Take appropriate action to mitigate or eliminate unsafe conditions, operations or hazards.
  • Provide support to the project department on the implementation of Company-wide HSE initiatives.
  • Assist in regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment(s) and operations.
  • Assist in reviewing all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations and ensure their communication.
  • Report all near miss and hazard condition and also ensure the mitigation.
  • Assist in incident investigation, documentation and implementation of recommended improvements.
  • Stay updated with proposed and actual changes in Safety & Quality regulations so the organization’s HSE policies remain current and relevant.
  • Assist in developing all the required documentation, operational checks and reports for the HSE Management System
  • Prepare HSE compliance related reports and correspondence and carryout necessary correspondence with all internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure contactor safety management as per defined procedures.
  • Should be able to brief Management on location specific incidents/stats during Management visits.
  • Ensure complete control of projects with regards to HSE and share relevant updates with Line Manager.
