Purpose
This position manages and ensures the availability of SCADA system; ensures accurate data acquisition from field, timely reporting of discrepancies to the concerned departments, utilizes SCADA applications for routine operations, records data event wise for concerned department providing event record data to concerned for RCA, correspondence with project team regarding adaptation of new augmentations on SCADA. These responsibilities are carried out WITH the objective of this position to maintain a reliable SCADA system with 0% discrepancy, 100% utilization of SCADA applications, and 100% adaptation of grids and WITHIN the limits of established company policies and procedures, regulatory & statutory framework and supervisor directives. This position also caters the utilization of the application such as SAP to ensure the effective work performance of the LDC department
Minimum Education
Education (Mandatory)
BE Electrical Engineering with 1 year of experience in relevant field.

Power system operations
Functioning of transmission network
Power system protection
Functioning of generating power plants
SCADA functionality and its application
SAP

Functional Competencies
Area of Responsibilities
SCADA System Reliability (30%)
1. Monitor SCADA system discrepancies on daily basis
2. Reports the network discrepancies to concerned for their resolution
3. Record the discrepancies in designed format for its effective follow up.
4. Ensure the proper working of BARCO wall, workstation and HOPF displays on SCADA Screen
5. Prepares TCI summary on daily basis for availability of Telecommunication links and to check time sync issues
6. Verify 100 LS operation / week from SCADA for internal audit
Scada Adaptation & updating (25%)
1. Study the project scope for new augmentation and discuss its modalities with concerned section
2. Assists line manager for liaising closely with project team and vendors during new adaptation work
3. Coordinates with the Master station for updating of mimic against changes in field.
4. Examine the new upgradation occurs at K.E should present on mimic for which communication is required with all team
SCADA Applications (25%)
1. Prepare report by utilizing Short term load forecasting function of EMS to prognosticate the demand
2. Assists line managers for Network application functions (load flow and online short circuit)
3. Monitors various reports generated from Network applications functions and identify the gaps / discrepancies w.r.t actual network
Data Aquisition (10%)
1. For creation of sequence of tripping maintain RCA’s in order to communicate along with all departments. To retrieve & furnish SCADA archived data to concerned for RCA, planning, outage management.
2. Utilize smart templates of SCADA for routine work and pursue new requirements of department with Master station
SAP Implementation (5%)
1. Making break down notifications
2. Ensure that all shutdowns are requested through SAP
3. Timely closing of SAP notifications
HSEQ Compliance (5%)
1. Adhere HSEQ policies and guidelines in routine work
2. Carry out 1 safety walk at grid stations on monthly basis
