Purpose

This position ensures accurate and timely meter reading and correct implementation of the bill distribution SOP for ordinary consumers at Industrial IBC. The responsibilities are carried out WITH the objective to ensure resolution of billing complaints, provision of non-schemed new connections, replacement of faulty meters, installation of various types of meters, improve sales to meet annual targets, ensure consumer satisfaction and compliance with HSEQ standards WITHIN the limits of organizational policies and SOPs, departmental objectives, environmental policies, HSEQ standards, business code of conduct and directions/guidelines from supervisor.

BE – Electrical/Electronics

Knowledge

Consumer handling
Data/ Performance/ Cost Analysis
Basic knowledge of SAP Modules
Expert knowledge of MS Office
Business/ Industry and applicable laws (preferable)

Area of Responsibilities

Meter Reading: (30%)

  • Ensures meter readings in absolute adherence to the monthly meter reading schedule
  • Conducts spot checks as per need basis
  • Routes all high-risk reading anomalies to the concerned IBC node on regular basis
  • Supervises daily work routine of meter readers
  • Maintains a constant check on cycle day wise realignment activity due rapid consumer growth
  • Monitors business performance against the set KPIs at granular levels
  • Evaluates daily CD wise reports based on meter reading notes and BCM (billing charge mode)
     

Billing: (20%)

  • Coordinates with Bill Distribution Vendor for timely distribution of bills to consumers for each Cycle Day
  • Monitors timely processing of IRBs, allowances (billing complaints) and rebates where applicable as per the approval matrix
  • Supervises the process of NOC issuance against NC and all other scenarios and makes sure this gets done as per SOP
  • Ensures bringing all new connections on panel within specified TATs
  • Brings requisite improvement in billing quality
  • Gets SD and initiation of load regularization process updated in coordination with concerned department

 

Meter Installation: (25%)

  • Monitors the backlog of faulty meters and arranges timely replacements in field and system
  • Ensures all safety procedures are adopted during meter installation process
  • Oversees schedule of new connections’ installations
  • Supervises removed meter inventory and makes sure that the removed meters are deposited to DMS in original condition for laboratory test

Area of Responsibility Continued

Utilization of HHU: (05%)

  • Ensures transfer of data from Web to HHU and vice versa is executed timely and appropriately
  • Facilitates Meter Reading Team on arranging new HHUs and gets replacement if required
  • Monitors performance of all meter readers through already published HHU Dashboard

HSE Management: (10%)

  • Conducts safety walks and surprise visits on site to monitor implementation of safety laws/tools as per defined HSEQ standards
  • Facilitates team in provision of safety trainings to concerned individuals on site
  • Implements zero fatality vision through proper adherence with defined safety criterions such as SLA, fire and safety etc.
  • Devises and implements techniques for improvement in working environment; Ensures functional and operational adherence with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures as well as safety and well-being of staff and public
     

People Management: (10%)

  • Identifies training requirements of the Staff; Contributes in performance management of direct reports; Manages development, career planning and engagement of subordinates in coordination with HR
  • Handles administrative issues including recruitment, leaves, grievances and other issues; Provides guidance to the direct reports as and when required
  • Establishes team-spirit and ensures seamless interaction among team members; Ensures parity among subordinates with regards to learning and growth opportunities
  • Creates a conducive working environment to build and sustain an engaged and committed team
