PURPOSE
This position guarantee for providing technical and commercial solutions to the customers on their electrical connection requirement. Examine the project requirement, select the surveyor for carrying out surveys. Review the case file of project and identify issues in survey and report them to S&BD dept. Perform surveys for projects comprising of substations and others where review is required for better understanding. Perform load flow study on schemes. Apply all relevant SOPs including Safety. Meet with Consultants on project plan/design. Plan Region’s Low-Cost schemes to maximize our network and enable metered connections instead of hook connections.
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Relevant Experience:    BE-Electrical/Electronic with min 1 year of experience in any industry.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY    PERCENT OF TIME SPENT %

1    Customer Dealing    10%
    -    Explain technical requirements to the customers over policy requirements.
-    Provide relevant references of policy.    

 

2    Distribution Planning     70%
    -    Plan distribution network on customer requirement and practical feasibility based on KE policy and compliance to NEPRA.
-    Check documents of project for discrepancies.
-    Propose scheme drawings and have them prepared from CAD.
-    Prepare Bill of Material for project.
-    Perform load flow analysis.
-    Implementation of policy and SOPs for each project plan.
-    Gather variations from policy/SOP with opinion from all relevant stakeholders.
-    Planning of low-cost schemes to minimize hook connections at region.    

 

3    People Management    10%
    -    Handles administrative issues including leaves and manual entries due to surveys.
-    Communicate policy/SOP to direct reports.
-    Coordinate surveys and joint surveys.    

 

4    Stakeholder Management    10%
    -    Gather comments from Operations and other stakeholders including UGM, IBC and CM on all schemes, especially joint surveys of specific schemes.
-    Provide updates to S&BD department and appraise them over customer side requirement on case to case basis.
-    Understand changes from Execution department and revise schemes accordingly.
