Purpose

To supervise team for on-field operations & Provide guidance and direction to the teams. Maintain a favorable work relationship with the team to promote a cooperative and harmonious work environment. Ensure that all field activities comply relevant regulations, policies and safety protocols. 

Education

DAE – Electrical/ Electronics/ B-Tech

Knowledge

  • Awareness of Distribution Network and equipment
  • Understanding of relevant SOPs, guidelines and quality standards
  • Knowledge of maintenance and operation on network equipment
  • Knowledge of understanding HT/LT network SLD
  • Record keeping

People

  • Provide guidance and direction to the teams.

Business

Generalized:

  • Ensure that required PPEs, SPEs and other necessary tools as per nature of jobs are available with the team before being dispatched.
  • Check health of MTL Ladder and ensure that MTL ladder checklist is filled before dispatching.
  • Undertake on site verbal TBT with all team members including vehicle driver about location/ job hazards with its’ controls.
  • Undertake that all tasks are started after ensuring proper isolations and shutdowns as per SOPs.
  • Ensure confirmation of all pre-requisite measures before start of work, circuit isolation from all ends, zero voltage with live line tester and short/ground etc.
  • Lead field force (KE, OSP, contractual labour, PQCs) ensuring smooth execution/resolution of the assigned task as per set standards and SOPs and complete all filed activities under guidance of relative control rooms.
  • Maintain the formation of team & undertake round the clock vigilance on the availability of PPEs/SPEs, tools and other material issued to field team.
  • Ensure that scrap is collected from the site and deposited back at DMS along with balance material with detail on gate pass for proper entry in SAP MM module by DMS official.

Area of Responsibility Continued

  • Perform any other job as and when assigned by the higher ups.
  • Do not pass/give clearances if work is in final stages assuming that task would be completed when normalizing team reaches at site.
  • Understand that re-starting of work is very much dangerous in case if clearance message is passed / given for normalizing of shutdown / feeder from grid.
  • Remaining work on same task can only be started after due permission from respective control in charges with confirmation that area of work is still isolated and shutdown normalizing is not yet started.
  • Ensure performing of any other task as and when assigned by line managers.
